You may or may not be aware of Sheye Rosemeyer and of their very sad story of losing their little girl Ava.
Each year, many join in to celebrate Ava's birthday, by holding or taking part in an Ava's tea party. It's a way to spend time with and cherish those you love. Ava's birthday is on the 22nd, however Ava's Tea Parties are held all throughout August.
This year, I would really like to take part, and spend some special time getting all girly and pretty with my own kidlets, soaking up all their sweetness and remembering what life is all about. I am probably going to do it with them one day when the weather play nice, as a spur of the moment thing.
But, I also thought it would be lovely to have an Ava's Tea Party Craft Night! As a way of spending time with my special friends, and celebrating our love our craft together, and our beautiful friendships!
This is an open invite, but please please please RSVP so I know how many to expect for catering etc. I will provide champagne (alcoholic and non alcoholic), tea, and some nibblies, but it would be lovely if everyone could bring something to share also. It would be great if everyone could choose a really girly type craft to do on the night too.
I hope you can make it! And if you can't, I urge you to have a little Ava's Tea Party Celebration of your own, in whatever way suits you. It's a lovely way to cherish the ones we love and the little things that make life so beautiful!
You can see more details about Ava's tea party here.
Day 108 - 12th July - My WW weigh in results. I lost 1.4kg that week which got me over the 20kg loss milestone!
Day 109 - 13th July - "There were 3 in the bed and they all said.... giggle giggle giggle"
Day 110 - 14th July - We took the kids out to the shops for a special in the school holidays. They all opened their money tins and spent their own money at the shops (with a little extra thrown in from Mummy and Daddy) We took them to Timezone, for ice-cream, and to the reject shop. They thought it was the best day ever! This is Israel and the kids playing car racing together, however the kids were just pretending, Israel was the only one actually playing.
Day 111 - 15th July - Too much washing! I am soooo dreadfully bad at putting washing away. This was all mine and Israel's clean washing to put away. I eventually finished, but it took a very long time!
Day 112 - 16th July - Eli playing blocks in the hallway.
Day 113 - 17th July - Eli thought it was fun to put his stickers all over Kade. Poor Kade. But it was pretty funny still!
Day 114 - 18th July - Added some more prints to my corkboard, aka my "Happy Board".
Day 115 - 19th July - Ashca was asleep on the couch by 8:30am. Needless to say, that day was a very long day!
Day 116 - 20th July - Eric, my Mum's bird, who we were looking after while Mum was OS. He was having a very loud day and gave me a mighty headache.
Day 117 - 21st July - Mine and Israel's 10th wedding anniversary! I made him a roast for dinner and sticky date pudding for dessert.
Day 118 - 22nd July - Me and Eli. I was packing my bag for mine and Izzy's anniversary weekend away, and this little guy wouldn't leave my side. Made me kinda sad that I was leaving him for a whole 2 days and 2 nights!
Will be back with pics from our weekend away! Probably not for a few days though :)
Oopsie's! Eli's birthday was over a month ago, and I am only just now getting around to blogging it! Naughty Mummy/Bad Blogger!
Here are a selection of my fav pics that summarise the day.
{project365} - day 107 - 11th July
We wanted to keep it a fairly low key event. We held it on his actual birthday, which was a Monday, but it fell in the school holidays so lots of the kids were still able to make it. I didn't do any invites or lollybags or anything, just invited friends over for a casual play date. Didn't go overboard making food, just made the cake, some jelly cups and some carrot sticks and salsa. Of course, Izzy was the barrista for the day too!
We bought Eli a Collingwood footy jersey, car stickers and I made his some dinosaur PJ pants. He was spoiled by his friends with clothes, cars, books, dino's, and lots more true boy gifts. Actually, I just remembered, Izzy took a pic a pic on IG of all the gifts, I'll go find it and steal it to show you...
Here it is...
All in all, our little guy had a great day celebrating! It's really hard to believe that he is 2 now, such a little person now.
He has so much character. He loves footy, like absolutely LOVES it! Even more than he loves food LOL. He is very snuggly, and gives the best squeezy cuddles.
He sleeps in our bed most nights. He starts off in his bed, but when he wakes in the night I just bring him into bed with me. I love it and so does he, so I have no desire to change it just now (much to hubby's disgust).
He is helpful when he wants to be. He loves to unpack the dishwasher, and put clothes away. But he also likes to tip out a whole box of toys at a time, his current favourite is the pencil tub, grrr!
He was off to a bit of a slow start with talking, due to having 5 other people in the house talking for him, but his speech is now taking off like a rocket. Every week he is saying something new.
He is such a blessing and we love him so very much!
Thank you God for giving us Eli!
